Post Will straight pipes HURT perfomance in bad weather?

My friend had straights installed on his chip and filtered 99 and lost about .3 in the 1/4 I was wondering if I would have the same results with my 01. I know that running straights might cause a loss of back preasure, but I heard the cats will provide enough back preasure not to hurt performance. Need help.. and I have a filter kit on order and plan on a chip and pulley soon. I forgot to say that it is very humid and hot where I live.

Now you tell us...
I just installed the straights on mine and it feels just as fast if not faster, I wish I would of dyno'd it first so I could tell if there was a loss. At least now it sounds as mean as it is.
Anyone out there have any dyno results on a before and after straight pipe install?
