From 2v to 4v 5.4L

Iwas directed from the engines section of the forum. I want to go from the 2v heads I have now to 4v heads and make the swap work like it's supposed to. I've got an N/A engine and you guys have superchargers. If any body did this I would like to know how well it works for you? I would imagine that the ECU and wiring harness were all used from the 4v? Did any body change cams to an aftermarket set? I'm gonna go with Comp Cams valve train parts exclusively. Did any one build a short block to take the bigger ponies?

PSI Motorsports put the Shelby 4 valve heads, Ford GT cams and a built JDM aluminum short block in my 04' Lightning. I love it. Went from 10.3's on my old 2 valve motor in 40 degree air to 9.9's with my 4 valve in 80 degree air on boost alone. To get all the details you would have good luck by just calling them. 281-557-2874. You'll be talking to Patrick. Good luck man

From what I've gathered so far Yes you can. This means you're gonna have to get the wiring and ECU from a junker. The operation of them if nonsupercharged will have to be like stock where only one port will flow till 3000 rpm then both ports will flow. Any 4v head will outflow a modified 2v according to a book I have. If you supercharge you can have both ports functioning at the same time as the blower will be moving the air instead of relying on natural aspiration.
