Need some quick advice for warranty work

My truck is running lean on both banks and I am trying to get the dealer to fix it. I took it in and was told that the mass air sensor was bad. $325 later the light is back on. I had forgot that I am still under warranty and called back to see if I could get a refund for the mass air. I couldn't since 1. I put it on myself (trying to save money) and 2. the truck has an aftermarket K&N cold air intake. After some escalading exchange (not just due to the filter) the manager said that if I were to put the stock pieces back on then he would have no problem doing warranty work on it.

My question is how much do I need to put back to stock to fix the running lean problem? I have a SBTB, C&L Plenum, #4 lower pulley, and the filter which I already took off. Would I be able to get away with leaving the C&L and the pulley on? Could I put the tune back to stock with the pulley and the C&L on?

Thanks in advance for any quick suggestions. I need to get it to the dealer either tomorrow or the day after.

take the pulley off and put the stock crank back on along with the stock plentum...i worked at a dealership in service for a while and warrenty is very picky...its a pain in the *** for both the dealership and the customer...if you put everything back to stock you shouldnt have any issues...but as soon as they see any mods they flip and thats the end of that lol...good luck

If it were me with a 4lb pulley and I intended to keep it that way, I'd be going to a good tuner tuner in your area that has tuned Lightnings to find out the the "lean bank" problem is. With that pulley on there, there's no way I'd be going to a dealer to find a "lean" problem. Now if your intention is to return to a stock setup, then returning everything to stock and going to your dealer would be a good thing.

well, I took everything off except the FTVB and cat back exhaust. I had been running the dyno tune for about 4 months before the check engine light had come on. I talked with my tuner and he had sent me some new tunes with tweaks to check if it was a tuning issue, which they didn't fix the problem. I think it's the vaccum hose behind the supercharger, but we'll see. It's up for sale and I just want to get it fixed and get rid of it (as much as I hate to).

Dumb thought, but check your O2 sensors.

the problem was a vaccum hose under the intake manifold. covered under my warranty.
