the only mistake you guys made was to get it in silver. its a known fact that they make the silver ones slower. im surprised you didnt know that.

 

Silver slower?!?!?! Incon306 pulled a 13.5 bonestock in his silver 01, the other colors must be doing 13.0's?

I know you must be excited Coldie. Just drove mine home tonight and put all of about 25 miles on it. All I can say is awesome truck! I rode past the local "spot" and I felt like all of the couple hundred people there froze and stared at me.

The truck is worth the wait. In fact, somewhat off the subject, you get spoiled by the L. I find myself driving other cars and cussing at the lack of power, the lack of brakes, the lack of handling, etc.
Last night I was driving my mom's 2000 Eddie Explorer with the 5.0 and all-wheel, and I hated it! I used to love her truck, but now I think it's a slow under-powered soccer mom-mobile (which it is) with 20 year old technology (which it has). But that's beside the point.
Wait till you go on a vacation. Over Spring Break I found myself missing home, just because my truck was in the garage. The first thing I did when I got home was drive around for a while.
So, that's my thinking.

congratulations coldie: i just ordered/mailed my deposit on my o1. build starts today(dealer had already ordered it for inventory) and delivery is expected on 5/15/01. i drove one of their red 01's being prepped for delivery --my first drive--damn, i didn't know a 61 yr. old man could get this excited over anything but viagra!
