Red face Throttle body Problem

I have a 2000 Lightning with a single bore throttle body. Can't get it to idle down. It seems like it binds when closing and won't allow it to return to around 650 rpms. It seems to stick around 875-1200 rpms. I played with the tps and the idle set screw. I put a allen head bolt so I can adjust it easy instead of grabing it with pliers. I'm gonna take it apart tomorrow night and to make it worse my check engine soon light is on. Only thing I installed was JDM 90 Mass air meter, JDM chip, and JL ram air, Does any one have any sugestions? Has anyone run into this?> Thanks.

Start with the obvious. Remove chip and reset the battery for another test. Simply repeat the procedure for each mod, and try to pinpoint problem..or cause of the HIGH IDLE. Hope this helps

Sounds like a vacuum leak somehwere? Check to make sure your small hoses are in good shape and connected.

I went through the Vaccum lines. I also checked the boot and mass air meter by putting my hand over the meter and restricted the air and stalled the engine. Did the battery deal too. I might go back to original and replace one part at a time.

If the blade is binding when closing, it may be out of alignment or closing too far. You can back the four screws out a bit and try snapping it shut a couple of times. This should align it back up. With the blade held closed tighten the screws back up.

Have you contacted your supplier about this?
Hope this helps.
