4900 Pounds !!!
That is what the scales said. That includes driver and full tank of gas. What a big heavy white whale it is !!!
My First question is, how much does all the "extra" stuff weigh ? (numbers please)
1) Spare tire
2) Reciever hitch
3) Tailgate
4) Steel rear bumper VS roll pan
5) Passenger seat
My Second question is specifically aimed at drag racing.
If you took all that stuff off your truck (including 15-20 gallons of gas). Would you be faster because your "Lighter"? or slower because "No Traction"?

My first observation is you're taking all that weight off the same place, the rear end. Where you're light to begin with. Stock these trucks don't have too much problem with traction....
I'd remove maybe the spare and hitch which is a total of about 100lbs, and replace them with 10lbs worth of Traction control devices...
