Splitfires Breaking?
I'm going from memory hear so bare with me.
The stock 99'plugs were AGSF-12E and the 00' was a AGSF-12FM1 both are motorcraft.
Visualy the difference is the 00' sparkplug has a smaller electrode, about half the size of the 99' plug. Also both plugs are extended reach tip plugs.
The 00' plugs were reported to break under heavy use and abuse, Sal lost an engine because of them.

I know a little bit about boost and plugs. if the splits were weak or a bad design, what i'm doing to mine would show up quickly compared to some of you. i check them, and i am getting normal wear for what i am subjecting them to. i like them for the short time they will be there before changing. i have a "real" boost gauge and an A/F ratio gauge, and change plugs at 10K miles
