Thumbs up This truck ROCKS!!!

Picked up my silver '01L today. WOW! The newfound torque is unfreakingbelieveable (I had a '99 Cobra with a few mods)

I'm trying my best to keep it under 3500rpm until I get some miles on it (~1000miles).

Stopped by MGW Limited to see what parts can be machined for the L's. George, the owner (a super nice guy) is all fired up on parts to make (a/c switches, headlight switches, window switches, covers, grill emblems, etc. etc.) He is also licensed by SVT so the emblems will be the real deal, not some cheap knock offs.

Got a wave from a fellow L owner (returned it of course), a couple of "Man the truck is sweet" and one simply stated "DAMN". Can't wait to see what a chip and filter will do for this thing! Man, it's HARD not to hammer it once though!

I hate it when a guy is so low key about his L. Congrats. Your truck will rock more than your world. The L takes well to mods.

BTW, what's a good muffler that's got a deep tone to it? Thanks!

Congrats. I'm not sure you're going to hurt anything if you let it stretch it's legs a little.

Check my 2001 dyno results post if you want an idea of what you've got.

CornerCarver - Congrats on the new L. I just had a MangaFlow shortie installed with dual 3.5" chrome tips. It has a nice deep rumble that is not too loud until you stand on the throttle, then it howls VERY nicely! I had a FlowMaster 40 but it was not nearly as aggressive sounding (IMO).
