Post First time with the 01, VERY IMPRESSIVE !!

I only ran my 01 for a few passes but I left the track with the same smile I had on leaving the dealership. I was able to get a 1.84 60' on the stock radials which got me a 13.72 at 101.68 . I could not believe my eyes when I saw the 1.84 60' time. These trucks hook awesome if you simply stab it at an idle. I am anxious for the chip, filter, pully and shift kit. Just thought I'd share the good news-Neil Minor

Great job and great 60'. What was the weather like and where is the track? What is the elevation?

The weather conditions were pretty good. The tempeture was about 65 degrees. I wish that I would of stayed a tad later. About 1 hour after I left the tempeture dropped nearly 10 degrees. I honestly felt that I could of pulled a 13.50 if I had only waited a hour. I put a Autometer boost guage in the truck and it normally reads 8 lbs but I have noticed lately that when the air is cooler it will pull nearly 10 lbs. As far elevation goes, I couldn't tell ya. The track was in Kansas City.

nminor - I live in Kansas City, as does NeedFourSpeed. NFS is in Lenexa, I'm in Overland Park. Where abouts do you live? Lemme know next time you go up to the track, I'd love to join.

Seems like this is a KC thread, so, what can you guys tell me about KCIR vs. Heartland Park? I've heard heartland is a much better track.

BTW my truck dynoed 355hp stock and 376 with a chip n'filter. Long tube headers are here. Can't wait to see what they are worth???

Hi Neil. I've had a lot of fun with this ride in the last 22 months but it needs to be quite a bit faster to keep up with all these awesome 01's...

I'm an electrician on days around the framer/roof buck/shop. I've been told you work in the bubble? I've tried to head over there a couple of times to look you up since I saw your 01 show up in the lot (btw, nice grille!) but as you know this hasn't exactly been a stellar week from a maintenance standpoint, so I haven't been able to.

I would absolutely love to hook up with everyone at hooters for an afternoon/evening. I'm also trying REAL hard to get to KCIR NEXT Wednesday (had the truck all loaded last Wed and something came up beyond my control so I wasn't able to make it).

BTW, I'm going to be out at the Woodlands doing a Solo II event this Sunday (4/22) starting about 9am. If you want to have some kick*** fun with your silver locomotive bring it out!

Need and NMinor: I think I am going out to KCIR on Wednesday for the $10 all-you-can-drive night.
Email me if you'd like to attend, meet up, what not.
