Post 2001 intercooler leak update

ford couldn't take my truck till tomorrow. of course i couldn't wait that long, so i took it to my shop(family buisness is engine rebuilding/installing) and pressurized both the radiator and intercooler lines. NO LEAK! it's been 24 hours, and still no leak. any ideas to how this fluid got all over the motor?

Well if your intercooler is leaking, it would not be all over your motor. the most common leak that everyone talks about is an internal leak with the actual cooler inbetween the supercharger and the heads. you would not see any liquid from this leak.

I have no clue what the fuild could be from then, maybe it has to do with the regular coolant in the radiator and engine thats all over.

Question

Kidd'01,
Just curious as to how much psi you have on the Intercooler core.

this was the psi on the intercooler reservoir and radiator with the engine off. I used a radiator pressure tester to see if there were any leaks i could visibly see in the hoses, clamps, hardware, etc. I did not hook anything up to the core.

at this point i'm going to say it must have been back pressure in the lines. at this point i have cleaned every ounce of fluid from the surface of my motor. re-pressurized the lines, and still no leak. All i can say is, no leak, had to be back pressure? i'll keep an eye on my motor (of course) and update you guy's with all NEW finding's. later on, for now i'll try to have patience, i know, it's a horrible word.
later on
