Post Shifting question with chip installed?

I have some general questions about how a Lightning shifts both stock and with a chip.

Stock.

Does a stock L drop 4 cylinders every shift even at WOT and at slow acceleration?

Chip.

Does a Lightning with a chip always use all 8 cylinders during a shift regardless of the amount of throttle applied?

Thanks

John

Is it harder on the transmission to use all 8 cyls. during shifts? If it is not than why did the SVT team program it that way? If it is harder, does it shorten the transmission life? Just wondering because I am thinking about chipping.

Why not drop two cylinders during shifts or do like me and other people and turn the shift dump off.
