Since were on the tire/rim subject...
I was looking at some rims for sale and was told that rims for a 99 lightning won't fit a 00 or 01, is that true? Did the bolt pattern or just the thread specs change?

The 99 rims fit the 00 and 01's just fine. The studs are larger(14mm vs 12mm) but I have tried it between my trucks and they actually fit the 14mm better. I would deffinatly not install the 00/01 wheels on a 99. There are some people that have, but I feel they are to loose.

DJANIMATE,

The lugs changed from 12mm for '99 to 14mm for '00 & '01. The rims from a '99 will fit on a '00 or an '01.
