NEW ENGINE BLUES II
Thanks to those of you who responded to my previous post. I was, quite frankly, surprised at some of the responses that seemed to think that replacing a 2000 engine with a 2001 engine was the proper coarse of action. While I certainly do not agree, I appreciate the fact that there are those on this site that will speak their mind and not always agree just because we all got the same kind of trucks.
So in closing on this subject, just let me ask, that if there is anyone out there who thinks its ok to have a 2000 truck with a 2001 engine in it, I got a black one for sale and I will let it go cheap. So pass the word to a friend that might want one. Great condition, oakley seat covers, zaino finish and a brand spanking new line(i believe it is called)engine. Just drop me an e-mail hopefully before I spend all my money on legal fees.

You're incredible with you loosy-goosy integrity. First you want more than a 2000 engine in your 2000 truck. You can't get that so now you are selling it and you’re misrepresenting its condition. In your other thread https://www.f150online.com/f150board...ML/011424.html you reply to me as follows:
Now in this thread you write:
So which is it: extra rattle or geat condition?
I could be wrong, but IMHO you’re an only child and you were always spoiled.

And I certainly did not pay for the extra rattle I had in the new enginge this a.m. and i did not pay for the fact that yesterday at 120 mph it politely refused to go any faster, which by the way was about 20 mph slower than it ran before the swap.</font>

You don't have a 2000 truck with a 2001 motor in it, you have a 2000 truck with the CORRECT motor in it. The only thing difference between a 99-00-01 motor, is that the 01 has a different intake/blower, which is not on your motor, therefore you have a 2000 motor in your truck. I don't understand why you don't get this. If they would have sent you motor without a blower intake setup, you would have had exactly what you have now.

Hey Sal,
You may have missed my previous question in BEARIT's last post, but what do they do with the scraps (2001 parts) when they remove them from the line engine? Are those available for purchase at a discount
?

Larry, you have to send back what Ford sends you. If they send a complete motor with coil packs, intake, blower, etc., that's what must go back to Ford, or they can kick the claim. So the 01 stuff would have to go back on the old motor.

I'll give you 500 bucks for it. I haven't driven mine faster than 120 and wouldn't drive your POS faster either.
BTW, I'm serious. My offer is $500.
