Thumbs up

John893 - Cam bolt kit can be bought at NAPA - both sides should run $20 - $25. Part number is 264 - 2953 - you will need two.
Good Luck.

you need the cam bolt kit to align the truck.
it comes stock with a alignment "plate", which puts the alignment in the ballpark..
but if you need to realign your truck, you'll need the cam kits.
you'll need the kits when you get your clunk fixed.

Don't get Ford cam bolts......Way to pricey!!!! Napa is good or any quality alignment shop should have them.

My 99 L has what looks like a cam bolt in the upper/rear passengerside a-arm. Is this from the factory? I have the alignment problem too. They tried fixing it with the toothed washer but it still moved with-in 100 miles. Also should I try to get the washers that take up space in the lower control arm or will the cam bolts work alone? Thanks Josh

Cool

Some of the '99s had full cam bolt sets from the factory, some had just two, most had none after the bean counters decided that anyone rich enough to own a Lightning could afford to buy their own kits. You can get the specialty products http://specprod.com/ kit (p/n 87385) a lot cheaper than the Ford kit. And you are right, the star washer "fix" doesn't, you need to get a set of Herb Jackson's spacers before he runs out.
