Question Disconnect water pump?

As I have previously mentioned, I have only added plain water to my i/c reservoir since it began leaking last fall. Lately, however, the leak has gotten much worse. I have been refilling the reservoir every 100 miles or so, but today I popped the hood and discovered that the reservoir was bone dry, after only 50 miles. I am concerned that this just may be too much for the motor to handle, and I think I should disconnect the pump. Can anyone tell me how to do this, hopefully with some pics?

I can't show you any pictures, however if you look under the front of your truck on the driver side you'll see the pump with the connector hooked to it just squeeze the connector and pull off! thats it! or you can do what i did put the SMALL bottle of bars leak in the resivior and fill with water run for 3 days drain back out and fill with anti freese. mine hasn't leaked since..... Thanks, JL, maybe I'll give the bars leak a shot.

Addendum: mentioned the bars leak to my mechanic this a.m. He said he had had much more success with BG cooling system sealant, gave me a can to try. If it works, will report.
