Took my L for a second opinion about the leak on the rear of the motor. It is coming from the rear bolt drivers side intake. I got a estimate from second shop of 750 to replace gasket and all fluids. The first shop wanted 500-550 to do same. Are these prices in the correct range for this job? I cannot put this repair off due to the damage that will come if I keep driving. Thanks for your input.

 

I removed my intake before, it is about a 4 hour job. So $750 is way to much

Whats the shops hourlly rate??

 

Even with basic hand tools it is a very easy DIY project.
