I would think that they could and it should be fairly easy. I put the Muth signal mirrors on my 2000 L and the doors were already wired for them, I would think that you will use the same plug for the 2001's. It sould only take you about 15 min. on each side. You will need to take the door panels off then unplug your mirrors and take out the old ones, You can do it by yourself with the window down or have someone help you. You will need to hold the mirror as you unbolt it so it doesn't scatch you door. Just reverse the steps with your 2001 mirrors, I think this will be a nice mod, I would do it but I already spent the $200.00 on the muth ones good luck.. Bill

Hello,
They will work, Your truck should already be wired for them. I have a set of brand new factory turn signals mirrors for sale. They are complete with wiring, painted covers with turn signal pod, and the entire housing assembly. I will take 125.00 for everything. This kit would cost over 450.00 from Ford.
