Question X-Plan in Dallas??

Anyone ordered a Bolt from a dealer in Dallas and successfully got it under the X-Plan? I called all over yesterday and pretty much got laughed at by everyone I talked to. It did help me weed out the dealers that are not going to get my business. I am just curious to see if anyone in the DFW area found a dealer who'll go with it. Anyone??

Out of 3 dealerships I tried in the DFW area not one would honor X-Plan pricing. I ended up going with the only dealer who took me remotely serious for MSRP. That was the 3rd different dealer I went to. Dealer one never called me back when they could start placing orders. Dealer two, the sales guy quit and they lost my information. Dealer 3 finally took a deposit (other 2 wouldn't take deposits) and now I have a bumped order (see other post about bumped orders). All I can say is good luck.

It looks like I'll be ordering my Lightning from the Ford dealer in McKinney. The salesperson seems to me to be pretty honest and serious in his encounters (I can't say the same for some of the other sales people). Most dealerships I've been to have really slimy sales persons who are just interested in making the sale and tearing your wallet out through your throat. This place looks to be OK, and they are going sticker!! Better than $5000 over...

Guys

I bought my 2000 from Lee Jarmon and the sales expereince was fine. I got it for MSRP. Their service dept SUCKS. I use Bankston in Frisco at 121 and the tollway for service. I would give their sales dept a call see what they do about the price. They host the Mustang SVT club.

I'm buying mine from North Central Ford in Richardson. They sell their SVT vehicles for MSRP and do not BS around on pricing and such. (At least my salesman doesn't - email me if you want details. james@jwatson.net)

Their service department has worked pretty well for my Mustang GT and I'm going to give them a shot with the Lightning. I am going to ask to meet their SVT mechanics though first. I will say that my service got much better once I got a good service advisor (who is now the asst. service mgr).

MikeP, email me if you want to see if you can get a quicker build date with a new order)

Good luck!
James

North Central is not my favorite place either. I went in there once and the guy that "cornered" me didn't even know what a Lightning was and asked me to drive one by if I found one I could test drvie at another dealership. That one totally turned me off of that dealership. Never experienced the service department, so no comment there.

2Good, e-mail me with your info. I am ordering in March in hopes of getting it by July (fat chance!). Let me know where to go and what to do. (tliss@nortelnetworks.com)

I for one will not visit North Central Ford again. I tried shopping there last summer when I was looking at Lightnings, and they had two silver ones on the lot that they were willing to go $500 under sticker on. Well, I wanted to drive one, but they wanted to run a full credit report before even letting me drive one. I could see that in some cases but I pulled up in a mint 98 Cobra(which when the appraised they insulted me - offered me $3000 less on trade than what I ended up trading it in for). Several years ago I had a truck serviced there and they backed it over a scrap bumper in one of the parking spaces by the body shop, and kept it an additional 11 days so they could try to repaint the scratched rear side without telling me. I hate that place.
