Main bearings...

ok.. I got her all together and torqued down... the crank that is...

I have come accross another question...

the 3rd half moon shim with the lip up in the middle will move back and forth, and I need to know if this normal... it moves about .50 thousanths back and forth..

look....





Now, I called a Master Mechanic friend of mine and he says some play is normal...
and also, since there is that notch in the cap itself.. I don't see how it won't not move... anybody that is experienced in this area please chime in... I can't go any further until I know for sure...

even after I torqued it all down to spec, and put in the dowl pins and torqued them down, it still moves back and forth if I move the crank back and forth... I really hope this is normal.. I just don't see any other way for it to be unmovable...
