Thumbs down Razors Edge - Round 2

Imagine that, less than 10k miles after a supposed brand new long blong, with all new pistons and rods and such, my engine is already misfiring.. now i have to deal with this crap, and im going to assume REM doesnt warranty their work and even if they did im not so sure id take it back there (they still owe me money). Here is my original complaint (and you should really read it):

Original Complaint

On 10-11-07 I posted this to your other thread. You should have busted his A$$ at that time. Good luck but I think your luck has run out.

Smile Not taking sides.....

I work in insurance, and I read your complaint. If you and your attorney have your ducks in a row, file a suit in small claims court, or if over $5K, in county court for damages, including assessing attorney fees against REP.

I still don't understand the explanation as to why Esurance is denying your claim based upon fault (liability). Under collision coverage, liability is not a consideration as to whether they will cover the loss.

Engines and transmissions usually don't (really) sustain damage in accidents, unless impact is extreme, and with enough crush to hit the actual engine or trans. It does sound like exhaust would be related if the blockage is from an impact. Cats broke loose and clogged? Exhaust pipe kinked? Head gasket(s) would not be accident related. Not clear if you were claiming them, or just having them done while your truck was down.

There are statutory notification requirements before REP should be able to execute a lien against you. http://www.flsenate.gov/Statutes/ind...713/ch0713.htm Your attorney should be able to help you on that.

If all your truck is doing is misfiring, how about spark plugs and/or coil packs?

thanks for the info.. i changed passenger side today, nothing out of the ordinary.. will change the drivers side tomorrow morning.. it sounds like its a rod or lifter or something in the cylinder head.. if the spark plug change doesnt fix it i'll take it to the ford dealer.. i can see where this is headed
