Cool Got the L tinted!

I got my windows tinted today. I looked for a week until I found someone that had a true passion for perfect tint. (If such a thing exists). He took an hour and a half to do the truck. He taped over the felt seals so they didn't put lint in the film. He installed the shade I wanted not just the 35% transparent stuff that Alta Mere and others install. This shop had a badass machine that cuts the film for them. It is hooked to a computer data base and he can pull up any vehicle and point click the pieces he wanted. Very nice machine. Tint Tech 2000 I think it was called. This truck is an itimidator and dark windows are part of that attitude.

I got mine done a "Shades" on 183, just east of McArthur on the south service road. Did an awesome job on both my 98 Taurus, and the truck.

The truck was $120 for their lifetime warrantied stuff. They did 55% in the back and 35% on the front two. More than dark enough.

The place is called Z-Tint on Pioneer between 360 and Great Southwest. I think the guys name was Bill. The shop isn't that fancy but they spend money on the important stuff. He did the doors and slider in their Llumar premium film lifetime nationwide warranty for 130 the doors only is 60. I tipped him 20 for staying late, hooking me up with a shade darker on the sides and being extra careful with my truck. The owner has an article in the office about his contract with Bell Helicopter to tint the canopy's of the V-22 tilt rotors and other prototype aircraft. Their # is (817)640-8455.

All these streets bring back old memories. I grew up in Arlington: Hill Elementary, Bailey Junior High. Frequented Parks Mall and South Cooper Road. The memories: where if you don't drive a truck, you're the wierd one of the group. Those were the days.

I had my '01 Red tinted last Saturday by a place using the same techniques. They did an excellent job and it only took about an hour. 41% on sides (which is totally legal where I live. However, the back windows are already tinted from the factory so I didn't bother having those done any darker. Total cost was $77 + tax. Great deal and improves the truck's appearance immensely!

I got mine done a Z-tint also, a few weeks ago, and they did a great job. They even took my dealer sticker off the tailgate for me. I got the premium tint a shade or two darker than "legal" and it looks great. I've taken several cars over there to Bruce and have always been very satisfied.

Nope. I work in downtown Dallas. Until a couple of weeks ago, I lived right near there, and drove by that area quite a bit though.
