Cool Brembos for the Lightning in new catalog

Just received a new Performance products catalog for Fords & they are listing brembo front brake kits for 99 Lightning-$3695 & 2000-01-$3795. 14" drilled & vented motorsport rotors, giant F50 sized calipers w/pagid pads, brackets, lines, etc.According to the catalog, no modifications necessary.
Anyone buy them yet, wonder if we still have to grind them down?

yeah...Brembo markets a kit for Fox Body Mustangs...900 bucks!!! 3700.00 is a rip off and then..you have to modify to fit...NOT..bull**** the profit on this is astronomical...unjustified IMHO...

What ever Sutton is trying to sell, I don't think that picture helps much.

I wonder what the differences really are between the mustang and the lightning parts?

The main cost in the mustang kit is the calipers - they use the Cobra discs (Ford part?), throw in some pads, and there aren't any adapters/brackets.

The Lightning kit includes the Ferrari F50 calipers, 14" rotors, the Pagid pads are $400 alone, then Brembo buys the stock hub/rotor assembly, cuts off the rotor, throws it away and builds the hub, plus misc. brackets, rotor hat, blah, blah, blah. Doesn't sound cheap.

But no disagreement here... $3100 (the street price) is exorbitant - I just get my thrills tail-gating Vettes & Vipers while road-racing.

Damn, that is sweet. Now all you need to do is clean the inside of those wheels.
