Question Wheel Lock PN ?

I took this number from a thread dealing with wheel locks for the "L".
YL3Z-1A043-BA
I took this # to my trusted dealer, but when he entered it into his computer it came up under locking lug nuts, 14mm, but with this note*"not available for Lightning or Harley Davidson" Anyone know what gives? Did I get the wrong # ? Supposedly SOMEONE used this number for the locking nuts for the L.

Well.... I'm not sure it's going to work. The lug nuts on the 2001 wheel do not have a taper to them like the locks I bought, they're flat with a washer attatched. Anyone else have any ideas? Do the 99's and 00's wheels have tapered lug nuts?

I ordered the locks from Ford, part number YL3Z-1A043-BA, they are made by McGuard their part number is M14x2.0 24205. There are no washers in them.... ARGH! Back to the dealer tomorrow.

When my locks came in, the parts counterman did not even know that they made them like that. They probably gave you the wrong part no.

Question

SpudBolt....That's the same number I took to my dealer. And your set DIDN"T have the washers? Aren't they supposed to have the washers? That prior pic of the stock units looks exactly like mine. And yours have a taper to them? What gives since some say they got the same number and they work fine?!??

I just installed the same part # on my 01' L tonight. They had the washers and were perfect. I would have taken pics but they're already on... My dealer had no problem. YL3Z-1A043-BA

paintdglas,
Ford must of had the wrong cross reference number on the McGuards I got. They said it would be faster to get aftermarket locks. The Ford part number is correct. Ford makes the correct locks and those are the ones I'm insisting on them ordering this time.
