The dealer quoted $206 for a new lower grill for my 01??? Does that sound right for that little piece of plastic??

Well it was 98 bucks for a fog light, so 206 sounds about right to me. I would just put a billet grille on then. 300 for the top and bottom, thats a deal.

Yup, that's about what they wanted for a 99-00 lower grill. Unfortunately.

I might go billit later but I want to have all of my trucks stock parts. So I have to buy a new one to replace my broken one.

Unfortunately, the $206.00 isn't just for a plastic grille on the 01s. It's the whole BUMPER COVER w/ grille. That's right. Same with the upper. The grille comes with a painted frame. Ford decided to put the grilles in then melt the tabs so you couldn't buy JUST THE GRILLES. Ask me, I got the upper and am waiting for the lower Bumper cover to come in.

I should have explained my situation in the beginning to get your guyses opinion. Long story short: icy road, Lightning, ditch, bumper f*cked up. I just ordered a new bumper, lower grill, and intercooler radiator bracket from the dealer to be installed by me. Did i go about getting these parts wrong or get the wrong parts?

Bumper cover is the piece where the lower grill mounts to. What appears to be your bumper is really just a cover.

 

Ok,,, Im confused. So here are some pics of my bumper. Well I think its my bumper. I ordered a new bumper, and a new lower grill. Does it look like I ordered the right parts?

What you have pictures of is called a bumper cover. Ford only lists a bumper cover w/ grille for 2001 as one piece. If you ordered a grille and bumper cover you probably are getting a 2000 bumper cover and grille.
Now for the really bad news!! There are, as of today, 385 2001 bumper covers on Critical- Backorder nationwide (mine included for 3 months!!!)
Maybe that's why the F150 assy. line in Canada went down 3 weeks ago for "inventory"??

I ordered a lower grill, a intercooler radiator bracket, and a new bumper. The guy assured me that it's all for the '01. I called them back to check my order and they told me that the grill has arrived but the retainers have not. Other then the grille, what is the difference between the '00 bumper cover and the '01? Oh... anyone know if this stuff will come painted?

 

the foglights have different brackets from the 99-00 to the 01.

Well I donno......If the new grill I ordered is for a '00, I might have to give it the old duck tape treatment and throw it back on the beast. When I get the new stuff I dont know what im gonna do with it. Why do you ask?
