Thumbs up 81 Year Old "L" owner

I saw the coolest thing yesterday while I was at our local Home Depot. I was about to leave, pulling out of the parking lot and I see this Kick A$$ white '01 L drive towards me. Of course, I stop and just check it out. The driver actually pulls up to my window, noticing me staring. He rolls down the window and I was very surprised to see a very aging (but happy) man.
We talk for about 1/2 hr. He's a WWII, Korea and Viet Nam vet (full bird colonel retired). He easily states that he has had performance cars since the '40s and the L is the best of all cars he's ever owned. This man is 81 years old...81!
He says he is going to do some mods to the suspension for some autocrossing, but that's about it.
As we broke up the conversation, he lit 'em up, causing all kinds of noise, smoke and general mayhem. I loved it (I think he did too).

I'd say that's a pretty darned good testiment to your trucks.

Peace...I'll get mine when it's a SCab.

although i may appear to be oldest member of this group, i am not. what is causing this, is my 24hr watch on the green fluid, and the odometer closing in on 36k. this is turning me into a cratchity old man. now i am thinking an eleventh commandment might be in order. THOU SHALL NOT REPLACE A LEAKING INTERCOOLER WITH ANOTHER, or something

Uh oh, BBQ puts himself back in the running for top comic on this board. Waiting for your response, Raul.

MRBBQMAN is president of the National Rifle Association?

Can't be. All he is carrying is a stick.

Hey! what's the big idea hampering my nautical adventures with that parting thing you do...

NO new stick laws, simply enforce existing ones, or something.

Never thought about it before....

Every picture I've seen of you, you've had your stick in your hand, or something...

Sorry, caught me flatfooted with that 81 year old 'L' driver.

Hmmmm... 81 and driving a Lightning, with a chip, ET should be a tad lower than RT.

Lightbulb

It just occurred to me where mesquite flavored barbecue sauce came from. It was inspired by that "burning bush" up on the mountain.
