As low as 14 when I'm misbehaving and 17+ on the highway using cruise control.

13.5 in town and 17.5 highway.
Exactly what I expected and I am quite happy. I'm low on miles due to business volume just now and it should improve a bit.

BTW, it is better than my 97 F-150 SC 4x2 with the 4.2 V-6 and auto. That engine/trans combo was made in hell, and I just drove it to end of lease and gave it back to the dealer and leased a 4.6 SC Ranger for the shop.

Of course, I knew nothing of this board and superchips, K&N filters and all the neat things the 4.2 owners talk about on the board. Maybe I could have made a real truck out of it.

Just completed a 465 mile business trip. 99% interstate, 65-75 mph, no hotrodding. Averaged 18.17 mpg. 6,500 miles on her.

I've got over 6K miles now, and it's still running around 13 mpg in the city. I don't know about the highway, never been out on one with it.

I was getting over 13mpg. towing my 2000lb. empty car trailer. This was on a new truck and through mountains. She didn't even know there was a trailer behind her.

I usually get around 13 mpg. I topped 15 mpg once, and have seen it as low as 8 mpg. I've never driven any distance or done any commuting - all stoplight blasting and other delinquent stuff. Didn't buy it for the mileage, of course.

The Benzo only gets around 16 or 17 mpg with the high-tech 3.2 liter V6 and a 5-speed auto. Go figure.

Did you guys look at the date BBQ posted that? I was wondering if the 01's were getting any better mileage.
