Post Wheel Torque.

I just rotated the tires and am trying to find the approx lug nut torque. Also I lifted the back with a 3 ton shop jack, I located it under the pumpkin. Then I read the hand book looking for the torque setting and discoverd it stated not to lift this way. Why? How do you guys lift for tire rotations etc? Thank's

120 ft lbs on '00 lug nuts. I don't lift by the diff, but use the frame, although I've wondered why the manual says not to use the diff.

The '99's are torqued to 100ft/lb's and '00-'01 are torqued to 150ft/lb's

Exclamation

I think the diff housing deforms under the point load of the vehicle's weight. Just use the axle housing next to each wheel.
