JDM vs. SuperChip
Is there a difference? Price? Which one seems to run harder, yet helping MPG? Any input is appreciated. Back to removing the Zaino from the truck...!

The JDM chip is a Superchip. There are various programs that run on different chips. You want the best program, the physical chips all work about the same. JL makes an excellent program that runs on a Diablo chip. http://www.johnnylightningperf.com

I've got a Black 01 and was wondering if you e-mailed me about getting together at Town Center sometime. (No rump ranger jokes please from some of you wise guys) Lost your address and didn't follow-up.
I've got a JDM chip that I'm going to install after I do a baseline dyno this Saturday.

Zeus,
Why are you taking off the Zaino-Just curious.
Are you going to try the wet cherry wax ?

As another poster mentioned, the JDM chip is in fact a Superchip.
The bottom line is that nobody makes more power than we (Superchips) do with safe A/F ratios, or at the same A/F ratios that we use in the Superchip for the Lightning.
We've seen some of those "tuner" programs running A/F's of as lean as 13.9:1 on the "race" program, and 12.9:1 on the "street" programs, both of which are *far* too lean, which is a sure ticket to melting a piston or two.
Most are doing a good job in this regard, but there are a few "tuners" out there who are playing games with A/F running them too lean to make more power, so when you're shopping for a chip for your Lighnting, make sure to specifically ask about that.
Just FYI................
To Zues 2K1, if you'd like to go over all the specific details about the Superchip and what options are available, etc., please feel free to give us a call, our number is just below, & best of luck with your truck!

So, no, I'm not switching to wet cherry wax. When I got done with Zaino I popped a chubby over my truck. I am in love.
