The brake light started coming on and now it is on all of tyhe time. The fluid level is ok and the parking brake is released and I removed and reconnected the 2 connnectors on the master cylinder. Any ideas?

Probably the brake light switch, a common problem. Th switch is located on the brake pedal lever, at the point where the rod attaches that goes into the brake booster unit. Try unplugging the two wire connector on that switch, and see if your light goes out. That switch also controls the release for the gearshift (You know, you must depress the brake pedal to shift from park to drive) so try and see if it will shift into drive without touching the brake pedal. This might not apply....but in my honda prelude, the brake light will come on and off and eventually be on all the time if the pressure in the brake fluid gets too high. I would just take off the cap and it would release the pressure and the light would go off.
