God I wish they would have built it, 390/390 6 Speed Auto AWD

And those idiots still have it on their News Page with a 2007 Copyright Date
http://media.ford.com/newsroom/featu...?release=20266
If I had a penny for every concept car FORD DIDNT BUILD, I'D BE RICH
(well not Hostile Rich, just Rich ; o )

Far cry from my Sport Trac

To my knowledge the Adrenalin has not ever seen production, maybe a dealer installed ground effects and a sticker job but not the real factory deal, however I've read in more than one place early 08' for the real deal, not an SVT but 300 plus HP, AWD, cool interior and a nice looking ride, and unlike the SRT Jeep it's supposed to have a decent tow rating.

There is a very strong rumor that SVT will be introducing some concepts in Detroit at NAIAS in a few weeks. The Lightning was originally shown in Chicago in 1998 so that is also a possibility. (Not the Lightning but that SVT could introduce there instead, but all seems to point for NAIAS)

-SVT Fusion- high probability

-SVT Edge Minivan-Can't get too excited about that one but it does make sense as far as market potential and from an engineering POV as it on the same Mazda 6 platform as the Fusion.

-Aslo heard that this Adrenalin concept could be revived. Don't forget that decisions change daily at Ford these days.

-2010 Lightning still a go but same comment as above.

-John Colleti coming out of retirement and putting the house in order-NOT A CHANCE ---------unfortunately

read the other links.. the Adrenalin is in fact real.. just not what SVT was hoping to produce.. Ford already offers the Sport Trac with the 300hp engine. actually its like 294hp 4.6 V8 out of the Mustang GT..

I'm aware of the V-8 Explorer/Sport Trac but it's by no means like the photos above and to my knowledge if I walk into a ford dealer and ask for an Adrenalin they'll they'll either offer me a V-8 Explorer or tell me to come back in the spring, if I'm lucky.

As some of the others have said the Sport Trac Adrenalin is available. As a matter of fact my wife own's one, an '05. The tailgate says XLT on the left side and Adrenalin on the right. There is also Adrenalin on the head rests of her front seats. Very nicely equipped but nothing really special otherwise. Leather, high power Pioneer stereo with 9 speakers including a sub. BUT it's powered by a 4.0L V6 and 5 speed auto. My wifes is a 4X4 but I understand they came 2X4 as well. I guess what I liked about it was the color of hers. About the same shade as my Lightning.

There is a difference between the SVT Adrenalin and the Adrenalin option package on the Sport Trac.

Quite a difference between the SVT and regular Sport Trac Adrenalin. The regular one is more of an option and appearance package. As you can see by the pics it also has the "SVT type" white gauges which are pretty cool looking.
The link below is to see my wife's Sport Trac Adrenalin for those who asked.
