Questions About 2002 Lightning
First question, my stock L. when i WOT in freeway was hitting 11-13 PSI (it took a while but it got there) is this normal. THe L is completly stock other than k&n air filter.
Second question, this guy on a 04 stock L. says that the 03-04 are a bit faster than 01-02 is this true?
Third question, how do i remove the coil cable from the coil to check my spark plugs any pics please?
THANK YOU GUYS HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR

#1 Ace if your in a Cold Weather Winter area I WOULD NOT be pushing max Boost with your foot to the floor on the parkway for any long periods of time, (in the cold winter months a stock Lightning motor can blow fairly easy)
Fast explanation...
In the Winter the colder denser air increases Power, Boost, Timing, and Fun,
however the stock rods dont have too much of a buffer zone, they will blow under certain circumstances, and 99.9% of the time it is on the parkway when you are stomping it in the colder months. Big Downshifts are VERY BAD so dont let it go from overdrive into 2nd when you stomp it, your better off taking off in the lower gears and letting it climb up. (end of fast explanation)
For a stock Lightning 13lbs of Boost IS A LOT
When you stab it, you should see 8-10 LBS and yes in cooler weather and with a better filter you'll see more. It will take a little time to climb after the initial boost it shows when first stomped.
99-00 Lightning was 360/440
01-04 Lightning is 380/450
03-04 Lightnings do have a better Head Design and most likely the NVH Block
but claim no power increase over 01-02
As for Coils and Plugs, WELCOME TO YOUR WORSE NIGHTMARE
Lighting Plugs can be a VERY time consuming project to first time changers,
you will need some special tools, and A LOT of patience
Our Brother Lightning Chuck has all you need to know including a little Vid or 2

When you get to the last plug on both sides and think it's impossible, you are almost right
but once you get the hang of it, it's really not that bad. Happy New Year and BEST OF LUCK

If you are stock and getting those high numbers I would check out your intercooler too.
Make sure your pump is working and circulating.
You may also want to check your gauge for accuracy with another tied in the line or instead off.
When the early intercoolers let go the hotter air from not having an operating intercooler causes pressure to go up.
