Truck Shakes
Truck Shakes
It does fine getting up to speed under normal throttle. However after I'm at speed at say 60 and I give it some gas (just a little, not hard) then the front of the truck shakes, no violently, but it feels like it's comming from the right front wheel?
Any Ideas?

sounds like you tossed a weight from one of your rims.
go get them balanced, that should prob take care of the problem

Ok so after some more driving I think it's my tranny. I think I'm feeling the shake or hesitation when it wants to downshift... I turned the OD off, and tried it and it still did it only not as bad. Has anybody else ever had this problem?

when i first bought my L it did the same thing after 3 days of owning it. the first thing i did was get all the tires rebalanced. that wasn't it...so i took it to 2 different tranny shops, both said that it was a misfire...but it wasn't throwing codes...so i changed the spark plugs one was blown to pieces. after that it was back to normal. i was say change your plugs, might be surprised. just my 2 cents. good luck
Man, the plugs were just changed a couple months ago, when the head was replaced. Which plug was it BTW...

Have you kit anything recently. I had the same problem and had all of the wheels balanced. Turned out that one of the wheels itself was out of balance. You might want to have the front rims road force tested. Also does it go away over 60?

off hand i dont remember which on it was...but about a week after that #3 blew..changed it and havnt had any probs since. but i would use my suggestion as a last resort cause it sucks changing those plugs...especially if nothing is wrong with them.
As I said before, it seemed to be doing it when the truck downshifted out of O/D when I punched it... It did it for a day and a half and now it's not doing it anymore... I dont know what it was but I'm glad it's quit.
