Drag Radials/Wheels...HELP!
I need help....well OK, I just want to get the right tire wheel combo for Nitto Drag Radials. I want to keep the same overall diameter as the F1's, and want good, inexpensive steel wheels that will clear the brakes. Also, I want wide (wider is better?), tires (10.5-11).
It appears that 16" wheels are the best bet, but where? and what size Nitto's??
Thanks for your help

Hey Dwight, the biggest tire you can get for the 16" wheels are BFG 255/50R16. Nitto only makes a 245/50R16. The BFG are 26.1" tall while the Nittos are only 25.7" tall. That is it! I run the BFG radials, but I only have made 4 passes with them, so I still don't know how well they are going to work. The L 60ft were 1.89, 1.88, 1.94, going 13.12, 13.08, and 13.24. My truck was having problems shifting so my chip is getting retuned as we speak.

Thanks QUIK,
I have been running the stock F1's, and thought that I would try to get a better hookup with the track this year. My only mod is Sal's filter, and my best time last season was 13.4x@102.6...and still spinning wheels!
