That sounded like blast.

The import scene has exploded up here too. Just this year. It strarted last winter, and this year its here to stay.

2 weeks ago, I found the low-down on the 'secret' spot. As far as I know, I am the only Lightning in Anchorage that puts it to work. A racing bud of mine was told of the place and heard there would be Lightnings and SS and stuff there looking for trouble. Well, I here of this and have to get some. We get there and there was only 3 cars that had more than 4 cylinders. An SS, my Lightning, and a T/A that followed us. Well, I also saw a integra type R that said he wanted to race me. Well, he changed his story when I rolled up on him. No one wanted to run me.

There was this one fellow however. This guy lives in the same apartment complex as I do. He's got an eclipse, tags reading "V8KILR." I ask someone there if he's quick.

"Yeah he's pretty quick, you should know, the races between you two are always pretty close, thats what he said." I never even talked to the !#$^&YD ever! He's done it now, he's at the top of my list. Those guys have heard about this truck, and he's using it to gain acceptance. Thats the way in works with them.

 

Whoa, that sucks about the cheesy little liar of a neighbor you have! But then again, it will make your victory that much sweeter. After you kick his azz, he'll hardly be able to show his face to the people he's been bragging to. I can't believe some people...

I find it interesting that your import scene started last _winter_! Does everyone keep their cars indoors all winter and do mods/upgrades? Or do people actually drive their nice cars around in that cold weather? I'd never survive up there - I zip up my jacket at 55 degrees F, no kidding!

It's pretty cool when people refuse to race you, isn't it? Those Integra Type Rs are very nice cars but not made to be dragsters. They're for the twisties. Of course, many/most of the "Type R" cars you see in the USA are fakes - some more obvious than others. See http://www.riceboypage.com/ for some funny examples.

Don't automatically assume you're going to win, just because your opponent is in a lowered import with huge stickers and stuff. A small percentage of those cars actually do perform, and perform well. The other night, there was some car running Nitrous that I doubt I could've beaten (in my stock form). I think it was a 240SX but couldn't for sure. If you do happen to get beat, try to be a gracious loser, and hope all your victims do the same.

Have the cops discovered your scene up there? If so, do they do anything about it?
