Post Ok I got the pictures you all want to see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first up is the new boost gauge I installed this week. this is a temporary spot until I get the NOS kit and the pillar for two gauges, but for now I really like it allot. And yes the vent was not harmed and can be replaced.

Up next is the cold air induction pipe that me and eddie made over the last week. We still have to weld the bracket to hold it up to the frame, so for now it just has some wire ties to hold it up in place. This is a four inch madral bent pipe to fit right in that spot, rubber elbows and the mass air can be placed in the enigine compartment or where I have it placed. Also you'll notice the moroso coolant resivoir, this isn't really needed as the stock one would be a tight but doable fit. I like the looks of it though. If you want more info on this setup you can e-mail me about it.

So far I have had this on the truck for about three days and I've ran the hell out of it and everytime I open the hood to fell the temp on the supercharger, ITS COOL. a little warm once in awhile but nothing like the way it used to be. Hope you guys enjoy the pictures, guys going to byron can check it out in person, OK.

Later JOE

Holy boost gauge batman! I'm loving that boost gauge setup. You HAVE to tell me how you did that, and what parts you used. Please? I'll be your best friend? lol!

Love the boost gauge!, but I was wondering, is there any problem with mounting the m.a.f. so far from the engine, seems that a lot can happen within that huge tube, when the maf is 4' away from the throttle body?? maybe not, but just wondering.

Out of control, how do you figure. HAHAHAHAHA

The boost gauge was easy to install. I think I need to make another plate to fit there though. that one does quite match the paint and texture to well. close enough for now though. If you want to do that, then pull your dash off, and take out the vent piece and make a plastic insert to go in it's place. insert the gauge and place it there. after if you want you can put a bead of black silicone around it.

Do you ever drive in rain or mud. I am betting without some sort of sheet metal shield that this filter and MAF are going to be High-Maintance. On the other hand Great Job

RT posted in a previous thread on the subject that he never drives the truck in rain and he doesn't recommend this mod for people who do.

My friend runs his that far away with his mustang and it seems to work better that way for him, so thats the way we did it. I don't think it would have any effects on it, but maybe someone who knows there lightning could answer that one. I'm not sure. works for.

No the filter is just behind the grille.

I'm going to order a new filter with the mouth in front and on a slight angle to get a kind of ram air threw the grill. It pulls allot of air like this too though.

Thumbs up

I hope you dont drive in the rain much. Other than the filter being so close to the ground its a tight setup...you thinking about getting an outwear protector for the filter?

Very rarly does the truck get rained on, this weekend it did though. I cleaned it up and waxed it saturday morning and went inside to take a nap and guess what, it rained so that was about that.

I'm going to seal all the wires and area's of penetration in with some silicone sealent this week some time. This will help out with the washing of the truck in the rain also.

That's beautiful. I've been looking for something exactly like that. I've seen several different setups like that for the imports....Akimoto comes to mind...but can't find anything like that for the L. JL ram air setup is about the closest i've seen. Any ideas where or what kind of shop could fabricate something like that? Anybody?
