Oh gawd, I think that truck is very ugly! Plus, did you see how much they stole from our Ls? Clear tail light covers, electroluminescent gauges... Sound familiar? This is not sour grapes either, that truck does NOTHING for me, visually. I do like the factory air bag suspension though, should be a big hit with the lowrider crowd.

From what I understand they(chevy) couldn't get the final specs in on time this year.Colletti supposedly even anticipated the possability of a truck similar to this one which I beleive is why he uped the power a tad on the 01 L.I wouldn't be surprised if we see something like this from the bow tie boys next year.A little competition would be nice!

I agree that competition is healthy and in our best interests, but I really don't want to see this abomination on the road. It's bad enough with the Xtreme.

If they did build it you're looking at at least 50,000 bucks. Carbon fibre hood and C5 transaxle.

Take off the riced out tail lights, put a regular cab on it and tell me how much to write the trade difference check for. If it becomes a reality then bye bye L and Ford too.

i got to say I think it looks good.Real good.I love the way my L looks but Chevy took this truck in another direction, which is the right thing to do.You don't want anybody looking for badges to tell two performance vehicles apart, do you?

Badges?? We don't need no steenkeeng badges!

How would you tell them apart, you ask? Easy - the one in front is the Lightning.

There is no bed/cab seperation...looks like the rebirth of the El Camino! I think the truck looks great, would never be in production with 20 inch billet wheels because customers would bend the wheels on a daily basis with those rubber bands wrapped around them. Looks cool, but its still a Chevy no matter how much disguising you do!

I hope chevy does make it next year, with all the stated specs and for $30,000. Would I buy it?

Hell no, it's still a POS chevy! You think leaking intercoolers are bad.

But if chevy did, just think what Ford would have to build the following year to compeat with it.

This would be one Lightning owner who hopes cheby does indeed build this truck. Competion does indeed improve the breed and also Iam tired of whipping those SS454 pickups!
