I just got off the phone with the assignment desk at Fox 2 KTVI television in St Louis. Last year we could get the trucks together in one place big enough to have a group picture taken. By the way, I still want a copy of the picture y'all took at Olive Garden. Back to my point, they have informed me that if I can submit a proposal via fax to them and provide them with a camera they see no trouble with doing a fly by at the track and taking a group picture during their traffic update. If we are lucky they might even mention the race and generate some weekend activity. I don't know how hard this will be to accommodate. We are adults...sort of. What do you guys think? If there isn't enough interest we probably can just bag it.

CA, Last year I went on top of the tower and took a bunch of pictures of all the Lightnings (that were participating in the race) while lined in the staging lanes. Some of the pictures were taken with another guy's camera and he never sent copies of the pics like he said he would. And some were taken with a camera that, well.. You know.. but I don't have copies of them either. Since I won't be able to race and will be doing all kinds of watching, let me know if there's anything I can do to help make this possible.

I'll be driving to the event, but what I'll be driving is going to remain a surprise

I just got to the board for the first time today. I will be bringing two or three cameras to the event, (SERIOUS cameras). I just got a new lens doubler that now gives me 400mm of zoom. If I could get on top of the scoring tower, I know I could rip off some killer group shots. Hope this helps. Can't wait to see 'yall there!

On the WFC Lightning topic.. God, I hope my typing isn't as bad as I think it is...

I'll ride in a helicopter, take whatever pictures you want me to take, go on top of the tower... Whatever you decide I need to do, but know that I won't have such spectacular press passes this year as I did last year since I'm NO LONGER AFFILIATED WITH THE NLOC. Now that I've cleared my throat, I'll do whatever it takes.. *and some of you know me well enough to know I'll get the job done* to get any shots you request. As long as there are clothes involved.

I took some hellacious shots last year just before the 60' mark (even with the CHEAP camera). Want me to do it again with a decent camera? I will need a vendor pass for that. I'm your slave. I'll even be the beergirl for those that aren't racing.

Hmm, two girls drunk with one sober guy behind the wheel. uh, uh, that sounds like trouble to me. I was thinking of the WFC, but seeing how as I wouldn't drink, I best not attend the event as I'd probably end up having to drive you two back to your rooms and that just sounds like trouble. (It's just too bad these computer typed words can't express the sarcasm!).
