Question

ATR has an in-house dyno, why would they design a system and not test it? You say that you cannot feel a gain in power, but can you feel a loss? How about less low end torque? People on this board will say that 3" exhaust will hurt torque production, but what about the mid and high rpm power? I'm really interested in this system, I appreciate all input. Thanks.

I sure feel sorry for that dead horse, how many more times can we keep beating it to death?

Stock from the factory the current un-modified exhaust is just about perfect.

Now we increase input flow about 5% - 7%( filter, 90mm maf, obtb) and we can see a very small exhaust improvement 2% by adding a Magnaflow. I would be very susprised to see any improvement on a stock motor by adding a Magnaflow alone.

So until someone come up with a 20% intake improvement, can we just leave the dead horse alone?

To lgogether:
I'm sorry, I was not aware that you OWNED this website. You see, I was under the impression that we could talk about anything that we chose. I regret not clearing this topic thru you, however, the damage is done. I was thinking, if you are so knowledgable in intake enhancements, what does the pulley do...I thought it increased airflow throughout the engine, therefore creating a need for a better flowing exhaust. I guess I'm asking what a 2lb increase in boost does to the airflow%? How do you measure this airflow % anyhow? I really thought that more boost in would mean more air out. But hell, I'm not Mr. Goodwrench and I really don't have a clue as to what the hell I'm talking about. Afterall, I beat dead horses...thanks for your input omnipotent one.

You’re welcome, I am glad that you realize that you needed help.

I for one, secretly wish to be the 20th person to buy a exhaust system and post that it didn't do anything other than change the sound, but then again I use the search engine.

If I keep this up I'll never be the 20th.

I wonder what this says about omnipotent beings?

I've had borla, magnaflow,etc,etc,....and all I feel is sound. On my 01L, I went with straight pipes from the cat back, the cats do most of the work on back presure, 'course I want the sound and it sure do bark now. HP, HP, HP, tell me about it. Bah. These muffler companies sure do make the big bucks. There just ain't no "seat of the pants feelin' on the exhaust mods. Just a seat of the "ear". Just my humble opinion
