OKAY....

Back in ohhh, December I booked rooms at the Fairview Heights Ramada on request of NLOC and the racers who were in attendance last year and attending again this year. I blocked 30 rooms under NLOC and got a 70 something $ rate. About the same time some of you went on line and joined Club Ramada, which at that time was fine. They confirmed the rooms at 56.00 blocking you outside of the NLOC group rate. So you would think that we would have all of you booking online with Club Ramada IN ADDITION to my block of 30 right? Well...the hotel put 2 and 2 together and basically after they realized there was a race in town and they could make a killing they retracted the 56.00 Club rate (those of you who have confirmation at 56.00 a night will still be honored) BUT without letting me know, they threw you guys in our block. What I am finding out is they threw EVERYONE with the Club Ramada rate and same dates in our block. This includes other race clubs. We have a few Mustang racers in the mix...I don't mind but I want to make sure I take care of my people before I start getting generous with the rooms. I went into my reservation system here at work about 30 minutes ago and booked 8 rooms...Because in addition to them jacking up my rooming list (which they gave me until April 17th to confirm) they are also telling me the block is for May 17-21. That is Thursday (tech day) out on Monday morning. I know personally I will be running Wednesday night at their local test and tune. I needed a room for May16-21... I am currently waiting on Maria from sales to call me back with a current rooming list according to the mess she made of my otherwise perfect plan. (Yeah right) Regardless...Here is what I need from you guys and we don't have long to work.
I need to know:
-Who has booked already through the hotel and your confirmation number and dates.
-Who has booked through Club Ramada online and your confirmation number and dates.
-Who NEEDS to book, first and last names, credit card number to confirm the room. That info you can email to me at RookzRook@aol.com because as it currently stands in addition to the 30 rm block I have 8 rms for 4 nights each at 64 a night ON MY AMERICAN EXPRESS and I will be cancelling whatever I don't receive a credit card from others on on Monday of next week. You do the math, I am not taking the hit...
Once I get my rooming list together on my side Maria and I are going to go over who she has on her rooming list and who I have duplicated and then compensate accordingly. IF we have rooms left over I will let her clear her waiting list or offer them to some of the Mustang clubs...I want to get US taken care of first of all. Also...if you guys are traveling single and don't mind doubling up that would seriously be cool because I think she has our block with 2 doubles in each. Not to mention you can split room costs. It will all work out and I am going to try and work her mistake for lower rates for the club. But I need your cooperation. If I don't have a credit card number and you don't get with me this week you will probably be sleeping in your truck. (Probably on my floor cause I am sypathetic that way, but you are paying for room service and beer)...Anyway, I think that is it for now. I will be checking this every couple of hours if not more frequently. For those of you going who know others in your area going, give them a call, write them an email. I don't want anyone left out. Please. Thanks guys. Remember...I don't know all of you by your username...if you are going to contact me on this I need first and last names ...confirmed or not as well as dates in order to get a handle on this. Also, I DO need the credit card to confirm but you can cancel 72 hours in advance to avoid a room being charged to your card and give them time to turn the room over. In a situation like this 72 hours is standard.

I booked through Club Ramada, and got not too shabby of a rate and have a confirmation code and everything...but I need to find the paper where I wrote it. Lost it about a month ago.

Also please keep in mind...Some of you showed interest in making reservations but if I remember correctly no one sent me credit card information to CONFIRM anything. Therefore if you have a reservation you didn't make it through me and if you think you made a reservation through me, ya better get with me because the only confirmation number I have is my own...

I'm sorry you guys...I guess it comes with the job. It never really dawned on me that you might feel totally uncomfortable giving me your credit card. Being a travel agent I forget things like that. For those of you who do know me you know you have nothing to worry about (and probably know where I live) for the rest of you who are sketch about that please also feel free to call Ramada directly but please be advised again that the block is for May 17-21 and at this time, a higher rate. If you need it for 16-21May well, you are just going to have to trust me on this one. Because I bought out the hotel this morning. They don't have any rooms left according to the CRS for the night of the 16th. Their direct number is 618-632-4747. Ask for a room under the NLOC.

I have no clue what to do..

I'm going to do everything in my power to attend the WFC (haven't missed one yet), but I don't know what the outcome of my back problem will be. I know racing is out of the question since launching at 5000RPM is NOT going to be a healthy thing for me to do. I'm babbling.. I know. And I'm stressing.

CA, for now I'll just hang tight and hope someone will need to share a room/split the cost at the last moment. Though I hope to know a little more about my circumstances later this week.

And, I don't have ANY credit cards (a good thing).

Girl, you deserve a Gold medal for all your efforts.
