Talking Little Things You Like About Your Truck

It seems that with all the fun we all have with out trucks some (all) of us have missed one or two of the neat things about our trucks.

Some of the little things I like about my truck are:
  • The ability to turn 25 gallons of high test and 3/32nds of rear tires into dust, smoke and unburned hydrocarbons in record time.
  • speed sensitive radio volume
  • locking tailgate
  • Style
  • And It TOWS!..

What about You?

The cadre of women chasing me trying to get into the truck. Chicks dig the truck.

She keeps me sane. Sometimes I have a lot on my mind. I like to go for a ride at like 1 in the morning and clear my head. I think I have talked to my truck about things that I haven't ever really said to anybody else. Sounds silly and now that I read it, pretty girlie, but that's what I love about her.

Cool

The thing I like the most about the truck is the reaction I get from people who don't know what it really is until I show them. I had an older couple pull up next to me in an older (87-91) F-150 and said that they really liked the look of the truck and that they were thinking about "doing " something looks wise to a newer truck and asked what it cost to do it to mine. When I told them that the truck came from the factory like this, their jaws dropped. They asked what the SVT stood for on the tailgate, I told them, then they asked what that meant. I simply said "THIS!" and floored it. About a mile down the road when they caught back up, they asked what was under the hood and I told them. They said that they were going to put an order in on one later that day. I don't know if they actually did or not, but I'm sure they got a kick out of it, as did I.

I also like the fact that you can haul all your stuff like a pick-up truck should be able to. This includes moving a queen sized bed out to a friends house with no trouble.

The truck also seems to have a therapeutic quality to it, no matter how bad a day I may be having or how bad of mood I can be in, when I get in that truck and hear that engine growl I get a smile on my face from one ear to the other. Now if only I could get that sucker to growl to the 12s.

I love the green gauges at night. Nicest gauges I have ever seen. Kinda like the way it sets me back in the seat too when I floor it.

You know what I wish it had?

Of course you don't.

I wish it had radio/CD controls on the steering wheel.

Other than that, I got no complaints.

What I really like is the way I can putter around and it's like nothing's there. But as soon as I put my foot in it, that supercharger starts singing.

Oh, yeah.

I have had a few cars and trucks, this is the ONLY truck that I have put a good stereo in and very rarely listen to it because the growl of the engine and whine of the supercharger are music to my ears !!!!

I'll have some of what your having. LOL

I like that fact that it takes people by surprise. They are aways shocked that a "truck" can run like that.

My top ten list---and yes I'm being sarcastic--not in a Ford friendly mood lately

10 Kidney crushing seat
9 Radio **** that turns the radio off everytime you hit a bump while trying to adjust the volume
8 Nice pleasing clunking noise in the front suspension
7 GM type paint quality
6 The automatic alignment change feature built into the lower control arm
5 No volt meter
4 Driver side seat that flattens over time to allow easier access
3 Plush yellow goo on the driver side carpet under the floor mat
2 Awesome wax undercoating on the frame
1 Fords great warranty and after the sale commitment to customer satisfaction
