Blueish-Gray smoke upon start-up
I am wondering if anyone has noticed a blueish-gray smoke upon start-up, not idling, but when you first go in gear after letting the 'Bolt sit overnight. I noticed this when I was following my brother (yes, I let someone else drive my 'Bolt, God forgive me!). The blue-gray was fairly profuse but cleared up after a couple of blocks and then went to white (condensation). When I called the SVT help line, the representative explain that this was not unusual. He claimed that since the 'Bolt runs rich, that if I have been running the truck hard or for an extended period of time and then shut her off, that there might be some "fuel wash" left in the combustion chamber. When I would next start up the truck, I would be burning off this "fuel wash" and that I should let the 'Bolt idle for 3-5 mins. before I shut her down, helping to prevent this build up of "fuel wash". I know that you have to let a turbo-charged engine idle for a couple of mins. after driving as to cool down the turbocharger, but I have never heard this concerning a supercharged motor! I have only 10,000 miles on my '00 Black Bolt.
Any suggestions or is SVT blowing smoke of there own?

Sounds a little strang to me. Try puting the truck in first and run up to about 4500 rpm and then lift out of the gas. Have a friend watch the exhaust from another car. If it smokes when you back off the problem is valve guides/seals. (at this point you have a huge vacume in the intake tring to suck on the valve seals) If it smokes blue on the power it's most likely rings. In both cases... seek profesional help.
Hope this helps and good luck
