Smile WHAT04 / et.al. , I have a ZING pic posting question ....

WHAT04,

I'm working on posting my pics from Hallett from this weekend, I have all the pics here on my local machine. For example, they are almost all 126K .jpgs and are as big as your original '01 pics you took of the '01s rolling out of the plant(you're absolutely right, it was you who took the pics, I researched the fact after your post... sorry). Anyway, when I upload them to ZING, they show 126K, but when I open them they are as small as the one's posted last night.

Can you or any of the other ZING subject-matter-experts out there give me some direction in this matter?

TIA ....

What software are you using to edit the pics?

It sounds like you are not setting the size of the pics properly.

Don,

I'm using ZING, my MVC-FD95 and using the drag-and-drop option inside ZING to put them there. It seems like it's ZING specific since all my pics are the same size, both on my machine and inside ZING. It's just how ZING displays them, I guess.

Any ideas anyone?

I can email them to someone who knows how to do this if they could? I'd appreciate it !

Thanks.

My2003Lightning - Are you looking at the thumbnail pics? What happens if you click on the small pics? Does it open up and display a larger pic?

Once in Zing, when you click on the
thumbnail, you get the image size similar to your pictures last night. Click the "View" button above this image. You should get a drop down menu showing which picture size you want - either "original" or "default". Or you can just click on the image that comes up after you click on the thumbnail. Then go through your normal right click procedure for properties etc.

Hope this helps.

WHAT04/Fla-SVT,

When I click on the thumbnail, it's still the same size pic as last night. FWIW, my OS is Windows ME - don't know if that makes any difference.

WHAT04, the only "view" option is on the very top menu - "File","Edit","View", etc ...

I'm getting torqued off over this ! The detail of these pics ROCK !

Thanks for every ones help ...

When you open your zing album, there should be a black border across the first page that pops up with the titles "View", "Activities", and "Edit" drop down titles.

If those don't show up, I don't know how to help you. Or can you click on the image that comes up after you click on the thumbnail?

I'm having troubles with this one!!!!!!111

better yet, cna you post the url for your zing album to see if I can post them.

You've got me very curious. To post the url, with your zing album open, right click on the address at the top left, and in your post type [url] address [ /url] only leave out the space before the "/".

All,

I'll try again later ... thanks for the help ...

It must be a small detail in my posting procedure. I don't think it's a matter of "pebcak"... or something ... btw...

MRBBQMAN, your posts keep me laughing at work ! The post about your 1/4s in your pockets was too much !

Night all ....

My2003Lightning,

I don't know about ZING.com specifics but I do know a little about the net.

Fist if this ZING site is free then they’re not going to let you take up megs of HD space and a ton of bandwidth downloading free pics or even a 127k. Usually these places are there to sell you and others hard copies of what you’re uploading. Can you imaging me taking a 4 meg GIF and uploading that, so there must be some limitations.

When I linked your pics last night I remember that they where a nonstandard size something right under 640X480. When you upload your pics then maybe they auto create a thumbnail of a thumbnail of the original pics.

The first time you view the pics you may be able to click on it multiple times and the picture might get bigger each time you click on it. If this is the case then there is probably a good chance that the pick are linked to different location each time. If this is the case then at some point when you are viewing the correct size picture you can right click on the picture and under properties you will see the location to insert in the [img] location.

There are a ton of ways for ZING to do this and my suggestion above is only a guess.

BTW if you load 10 127k images on f150 online.com it’s going to take about 5 minutes to view the thread each time so not many people are going to wait to even see one picture. Also all the pics download at the same time so it’s not like they can see 7 out of 10 and then move on. What you’re trying to do is a bad idea.
