Post OH SH## I BROKE IT

I did an autocross this weekend and noticed a noise coming from the motor. It sounded like it was comming from the s/c. I then took the belt off and the noise was still there. So I then took the alt belt of and the noise went away. As I had the belt loose and not completly off when I gave it some throttle the belt caught and riped the tensnor off the front of the motor. Well off to Ford to order some parts. Won't have the parts for a couple of days. Still have to find the sorce of the noise. I will keep you all informed about what I find.

I am hoping that the noise was the belt. I read some time ago that they changed the belt compound becouse they made noise. I will put on a gates belt.

It may not have been smart, but it gave me a good reason to have a stiff drink.

It was a sad site indeed. I stopped by to have a look at the drop on his truck and all he had to show me was a shredded blower belt and a destroyed tension pulley.

Picked my truck up from dealer and they changed the blower belt to stop the noise. Man, it sounded just like a bad bearing in a pulley. Oh well, I guess it fixed it.

Paul. What's that noise? Sounds like the belt slapping the underside of the hood...j/k

You sure have had a run of bad luck with the L... Hope everything works out OK.

Let's get together soon. Would like to see your new suspension.

Rich

Well I finally got the parts today, so I should have her on the road tonight. You should see what I did to the blower tensninor bracket. I was bored and hand pollished the alum. It looks good.
