So what's the verdict? Did you get the oem intercooler, or the new one? Any pics or part numbers?

service dud ah, Dude, called me at 2:30 today. says we are waiting on bolts. I said, we talked about those bolts. he said yeah but they were supposed to come in with the I/C. So he has about 1/2 of them and the rest coming from 2 places. I didn't even go over there. The parts dept called me at the house today to tell me my special ordered parts had arrived.
They have not been nasty a bit. just kinda confused it seems. And I am driving one of their F-150 4.2 auto longbed as a loaner. I have to park out front with a parking pass cause it won't fit under the security door. I'll have to stay home this weekend. I'm not driving that to WV. too bad I don't have any manure to haul...

Another call, friday @ 2pm . now they have 8 bolts , waiting on the other 4 until Monday.
Truck is in a bay waiting. still driving the 150 fullsize 6 cyl. parking in the street. What could be better ? I didn't want to go anywhere this weekend anyway.

I understand the concern about the part #, but it will have to wait until I get the paperwork as the service guy didn't have a clue. How does a guy make his living fixing Fords at a dealer as the service manager, and not know a thing about the L ? INcredible. And we see mention of it all the time.

Got the rig back this morning1 Runs good. no scars. Engine is still dirty but that is my next job.
Eng Charge air cooler assembly #
XL3Z*6K775*AA replaced due to slight pressure leak, no visable leak. hot line said change it.
plus the gaskets set and bolts, fluid.
------------------LittleredL quoted the same # for his replacement last november so I got the old one or they are using the same #. dream on.
