How do Roush Mustangs compare to L's performance wise?

It depends.

My brother has a 2000 roush mustang. When
he first go it, we raced a couple of times,
and I would always win by 1/2 - 1/4 of a
car length.

Of couse now he's modified it:
paxton s/c, fuel lines, fuel pump, exhaust,
etc. dyno's at ~380 hp at the wheel.

I don't race him any more.

The only Mustang that compares to the Lightning is the S/C Saleen S281.
I think the Roush Mustangs are more cosmetic than performance, IMHO...

Anybody can correct me if I'm wrong. Like this would be any different than any other time before...

Most any cobra 96-98 and 2001, with good driver(cobras are hard to launch)will turn mid 13's and as good as a flat 13 second 1/4 mile.My 98 did a 13.34 at 101.Otherwise the L will take any factory mustang.

I own a supercharged Saleen. My Lightning would definitely take it from a stop to around 70 or 80mph, similar to racing an fbody. I just took it out this evening, 1st gear is literally use-less. There is so much torque, I spun the tires through first and second before I even crossed the intersection. The L would hook up and go.

Drove it a couple of weeks ago. I have an 01 Cobra conv on order. I can take the extra 25k that it will cost me (x plan vs sticker) and I think I can do anything it can do a little bit better.
