Post Hit the 12's!

I ran a 12.85 at 105.3 on Friday. Man I love these trucks.

Congrats on the Fast time!!!

Do you find having the shift kit along with the firmer shifts of the chip to be too harsh for normal driving? I have a level 10 kit, but have held off installing it for fear that it will shift to harsh along with my chip.
Thanks Brian

What kind of tires were you using? What was your 60'? I've run 104.4 mph but haven't hit the 12's yet. I'm thinking a set of drag radials will put me there.

Chip and level 10 are no problem for a daily driver. I had the same concerns. Glad I did it.

Do you think you gained anything with the shift kit? I see you have a converter also, did you run the shift kit before the converter? What were your results?
Thanks Again Brian

I don't know if you gain any ET's with a shift kit, but it's better on the tranny. I have no drivability problems with my chip and shift kit. Let your chip tuner know that you have a shift kit and they can compensate for it.

No converter yet. Still on my to do list. I doubt the shift kit will help 1/4 times much. Much easier on the trans. Quicker shifts less rpm loss. Roll out in first, put it to the floor, the shift into second is about 15-20 feet of rubber. Used to just chirp into second. Two tire fire now.

What really is funny, is I remember when a 12 sec daily driven Lightning was fast!
