egr tube compression nut metric. headers standard!

Well started installing my shorty headers. don't flame me please. ( I live in ca). Everything was going well, until I got to switching over the egr tube. it looks like my header egr port is 3/4 and the egr tube nut is metric. I went to the hardware store and couldn't find anything that would fit the fitting from the old manifold.(they only had standard sizes). Then I though I might take the nut off of the tube and put a standard nut back on. but there is no way to take the nut off. Has anyone ever run into this problem? I guess ill have to have a fitting made. I'm sure I won't be able to find a fitting with a standard end and a metric end. haha

please disregard this thread. nothing was metric. but I did find out that im retarded in the process. I jacked up the threads trying to get the fitting out of the original manifold. But I didn't notice while I was at hardware store. hehe
