2001 Mods...
Just got my Black 2001 Lightning last week. It is everything I had hoped for & I am thoroughly pleased with the truck. My truck may never see a drag strip, but will be run occasionally in street challenges. I'm interested in any mods I can do that improve performance but do not endanger the engine, or permanently alter my truck. I'm especially looking for firm transmission shifts @ heavy throttle. I'm considering 1. Superchip, 2. K&N Drop-In, 3. JL Fresh Air Tube, 4. Trans. Kit. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks for your time.

Level 10 shift kit is awesome. Chip and filter a must have. Blower pulley rocks. It just keeps getting stronger and stronger with each new addition.

You are in the right direction, but just don't waste your money on a K&N drop-in, buy the filter kit. Good luck with your truck BTW I picked up my 2001 Silver Bolt saturday

JDM makes a great chip for the '01. You can find them on the SVTPerformance board or call 732 780-0770 Lloyd

Mods to come: JDM 90MM MAF, JDM 2# lower pulley, JDM Oval TB, JDM Line mod valve, JDM Flip chip steet/race, PSP Electric fan kit, M/T ET streets, Drive shaft loop. I thought I could be happy with a chip & filter, but NO! 1973 Cutlass Supreme 455/450HP 4 speed. Too many Mods to list! 95 Olds Aurora 91 S10 305TPI/700r4 project 2000 freightliner FL60 Rollback tow truck My garage overuneth.
