just got a set of fog light covers from texas mustang. really had to struggle to get them in. finally got the right side in but the left won't go. seems like the bumper cover hole is smaller on the left. any ideas?thanks,jakdad

I had heard concerns about heat build up with actual covers. I dont know if there's anything to it. I aordered the Stonegard 80mil vinyl covers, not here yet. They are more a film than a hard cover. Anyway, we all agree the dand OEm lenses are very liable to break, lost 1 already. I got the #65071 '87-'93 mustANG GT lenses as replacements, poppoed right in, 1 connector change, very simple. I think i paid about 25 each from Ralleye maybe.
Anyway, good luck. Oh ya, cost was 15.00 for the vinyl.

I got 1 Mustang fog lens from Dallas Mustang for like $7 for a 99 L, I had to fiddle with the clip for 15 seconds to get it to work. This was 2 years ago.

 

I've used StonGuard and the GT covers and melted both of them. Havn't had a light crack yet though *knock on wood*.

The GT covers are a snug fit, but they will get on there, takes a bit of pushing sometimes.

My stonguards browned in the middle from the heat of my fogs...

I'm running SELECT HID-Lookalikes (55w) in them.

These covers will protect your investment. That is all. If you try to use your fog lamps with these covers on THEY WILL MELT.
