I ordered a 2001 L on January 6. I call every week just like a good new lightning owner should. No vin# till last week, But still no built date. I call today and the salesman says they don't have date and he will call Ford and find out. He calls me back and tell me that the Truck is on hold,
He called it "Total Performance package hold" and they don't know when it will be released. Does this sound right? He also said that this is affecting all Lightnings. Did anybody else hear this ? Any info you can provide to a future Lightning owner would be appreciated.

intercooler???? I am getting paranoid..now..

 

When I went to the dealership about 3 weeks ago to talk to them about a Silver 01 they were expecting, they could not give me a delivery or build date because of a build constraint... however, they e-mailed me this week and said the trucks are off constraint and are being built now... I wonder what the real deal is.
